Many will be in agreement: season two was not the strongest outing for Legend of Korra. After losing the duel, Kuvira launched her attack on Zaofu and successfully captured the city, forcing Korra and her allies to flee. Unfortunately, there was a lot on the line. She still had a ways to go in her recovery. Korra wanted to prove herself, but she wasn't ready for the fight. When she entered the Avatar State, she couldn't sustain the power. Korra rushed into battle too soon against Kuvira, challenging the master metalbender to a fight she couldn't win. But this grave error also came to epitomize the idea of balance in the show: the opening of the portal also reignited the line of airbenders, one positive to come out of the situation. This enabled Unalaq to release dark spirits, including Vaatu. She believed it was the right thing to do, but it was actually one of the worst things she did.

This also was a major weak point of the show for fans, who regard it as one of the worst things to happen in the series creatively.Įarly on in Book Two, Korra opened a new spirit portal in the Southern Water Tribe while under the influence of Unalaq.
It compromises future Avatars, as well, who will not benefit from the diversity of perspective afforded to all the previous Avatars. Losing her connection to the past Avatars is one of the worst consequences of Unalaq's actions. It hardly seems fair that the Avatar would selectively restore bending to only one close ally.Ģ: Lost Her Connection To The Past Avatarsĭue to her error in siding with Unalaq, Korra falls victim to his atrocities. Viewers learn this when Tahno returns in book two, clearly still a nonbender. Some of these benders were notable and fan favorites, including Lin Beifong, who was fortunate to receive her powers back from Korra-but it seemed to be a show of favoritism.īut others, including Lightning Bolt Zolt and Tahno of the Wolfbats, never seem to get their bending back from Korra. In Book One, Amon infamously stripped benders of their abilities. There’s no reason to say that Korra is a weak Avatar: Since it is an important hallmark of their relationship, it can easily be included in any necessary articles without the need to mention that it's the first known kiss.Had to comment about worst things from Korra but I don’t like Korra haters cause they’re just saying that she is cocky, hothead, stubborn arrogant and brash. L ady L ostris / SOAP 12:03, Octo(UTC) Agreed with LL. Adding "first known kiss" just strikes me as awkward and unnecessary. F ire F erret 03:00, Octo(UTC) Eh, I'm all for removing any claim about it being their first kiss then.
If it must be stated somewhere I'm fine with stating it as their first known kiss on something like their shipping page. That is what I would like to do, I don't want to assume either way, and would rather keep things that are speculative such as the assumption that it is their first kiss off of our pages. ??) 01:37, Octo(UTC) The conversation is here.F ire F erret 09:20, Octo(UTC)Ĭan we get a link to the discussion? This can all be circumvented by just altering the wording to something like "first known kiss" and then just refraining in IU articles to calling it their actually first kiss. Since we could not come to an adequate conclusion, we decided to approach the topic on the war room. My argument is essentially since we don't see all of the couple's vacation, it's speculative to assume that this kiss was their first, and thus does not need to be included in articles, while her argument was that if they show us a kiss of course it would be their first. So Korra2000 and I were having a small debate about listing the first kiss in Turf Wars as Korra and Asami's first kiss. The kiss between Korra and Asami in Turf Wars should not be classified as the "first known kiss" in IU articles.
